CANUX CODE OF CONDUCT

All participants, speakers, sponsors and volunteers attending a CanUX event are required to agree with the following code of conduct. The organizers and volunteers will enforce this code throughout the event.

Short version

CanUX is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Offensive sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.

Long version

CanUX is all about community and as such, we will do whatever we believe is necessary to provide a safe, friendly and fun environment for our attendees, volunteers, staff, guests, sponsors and presenters. We commit to upholding this code of conduct and we invite all those who participate in CanUX to help us create safe and positive experiences for everyone. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.

If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the conference organizers will take any action deemed appropriate, including warning the offenders, expelling them from the conference with no refund, and referring them to venue/hotel security or local law enforcement.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns even if they seem inconsequential, please contact an event chair or a member of conference staff immediately. Conference staff can be identified as they’ll be wearing branded t-shirts.

Conference staff will also be happy to help participants contact security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference.

We expect participants to follow these rules at the conference venues, hotels, restaurants and social events associated with CanUX. If you are outside of the conference venue and cannot bring these concerns to the immediate attention of the event staff, do contact us at info@canux.io or call Cornelius Rachieru at +1.613.864.3020. Also, if you see someone who is making an extra effort to ensure our community is welcoming, friendly, and encourages all participants to contribute to the fullest extent, we want to know that too.
