Crossing the Glass Bridge: What Squid Game can Teach us about Systems Thinking, Data Science & UX

Whether it’s predicting how many people will perish crossing the glass bridge in the “Squid Games” series, or flattening your city’s COVID curve, mathematical models can directly benefit from qualitative UX concepts.
We will start with a simple math model, and examine how different the perspectives of Business, Math, Psychology, and Design, in isolation, cannot predict outcomes, but how systems thinking and appropriately quant and qual models can help bring a shared understanding.
Speaker Bio: Jennifer Fraser
Jennifer Fraser is the VP of Experience at Macadamian, a Canadian Digital Healthcare consultancy. After over twenty years in the field of User Experience Design, I have designed products for many different client types and target markets. In my current role I lead experience design across the spectrum of Customer Experience, Employee Experience and User Experience.
Jennifer has both a Bachelor and Master of Architecture from Carleton University, and worked as an architect in a former life, which may, or may not, relate to her passion for designing and building cocktails.
