Meet our 2022 Diamond Sponsor: Kinaxis
Kinaxis features as Diamond sponsor for the first time in 2022
CanUX 2022 KINAXIS
All of us at CanUX are thrilled to announce that our 2022 Diamond Sponsor is Kinaxis. Headquartered in Ottawa with offices all over the world, Kinaxis is the leading provider of cloud-based, software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions that give people the confidence to know they are making the best supply chain planning decisions to maximize business performance.
As we approach the 11th edition of CanUX on Nov 3-6, 2022, we caught up with the company’s Director of User Experience, Matt Chmiel, and asked him to tell us a little bit more about the design practice at Kinaxis.
“Hello CanUXers!
We’re excited that the CanUX conference is back and in-person this year and we are thrilled to be the premier sponsor of this important event for the Canadian UX community!
We make the world better, and you can too
At Kinaxis, who we are is grounded in our common belief that people matter. Each one of us plays an important part in accomplishing our work, building our culture and making a global impact.
Every day, we’re empowered to work together to help our customers make fast, confident planning decisions. This is how we create a better planet – for each other, for our customers and for generations to come. Our cloud-based platform RapidResponse ensures that the products we need – everything from medicine and cars, to day-to-day items like toothpaste – make it to market and into our hands when we need them with minimal ecological footprint.
Kinaxis is based in Ottawa in Ontario, Canada, and recently opened a new headquarters – an amazing space that inspires our ongoing innovation and accommodates our growth and success around the world.
Design is core to innovation, and it starts with our people
Our User Experience team focuses on designing innovative solutions to our customers’ tough supply chain challenges. We work on a variety of projects, including designing new platform experiences, surfacing emerging artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) capabilities, simplifying the complexities of global supply chains through novel visualizations, and crafting new supply chain business solutions.
UX designers employ user-centered design thinking practices to facilitate collaboration, not only within the product team but also with customers, partners, supply chain business experts, and other stakeholders. Our UX researchers use various techniques to uncover actionable insights through better understanding our users’ needs, validating potential solutions, and measuring the usability of our product in the field. Our visual designers also play a key role in growing our UI platform and maintaining consistency by contributing to our in-house design system – Parcel.
We’re proud to be building an amazing company, culture, and modern UX practice. If you are ready to be part of a team that challenges you, moves fast, and makes a difference, consider joining our team.
We look forward to meeting you at the conference!”
